Is it possible to drain a CO2 bottle and fill it with NO2? For example, use a CO2 bottle from a paintball gun? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am a newbie...

yes, htis is possible.

HOWEVER. to be a proper nitrous bottle, you must change the valve. there are diferent standards applied to the valves. the "proper" fittings are quite diferent for the outlet of the valve...

and you will probnably want to add a "syphon tube" so you can mount the bottle valve up,. and still have it deliver liquid nitrous.

you can buy pre-moded co2 bottles. look around on ebay.

I noticed something and it kind of applies to this...my NX bottle isnt DOT approved, but my CO2/Agron tank for welding is..it costs $100 and it about the same size as the NX bottle...but like he said above, the valves do have to be changed over esp. because of the fitting

A lot of scuba tanks aren't rated to take the kind of pressure a nitrous bottle is. Make sure it says the burst pressure is above 2000 psi, as thats what most nitrous tanks are rated at.

Could you guys tell me what kind of valve I would need to exchange the two from the CO2 bottle. Does someone have a link to where I could find a valve that would replace a CO2 bottle? Thanks
