im gona have nitrous soon, and was thinkin...what psi should my fuel pressure be while im using nitrous??

i know it has a changeable jet, and a solonoid, but all ratio's can be thrown outa whack if u alter the actual pressure since the solonoid is only 'open' or 'closed' and the jet is always the same size. its not like its changing to compensate for enough or too little fuel entering the nitrous mix
see where im goin?

just curious, any help is apreciated
thanks
brad

The kits are calibrated to use stock pressure. Leave it stock and you'll be fine.

What he said. Also most kits run a little rich to be on the safe side...

Fuel pressure at more than 10% throttle is 40psi +/- 2 psi.

The other times the pcm is leaning via the fuel pressure.

Just run the best gas you can get from the pump when using nitrous and since your head is decked .035 it bumps up compression a bit so use the good gas.

If the scratch isn't to deep then you will not need to go .05. Just tell the machine shop to take off just enough to remove it.

if you shave it to .050 your head will be NO GOOD. The valves will hit the pistons. The MAX you can go is .040 and that is leaving .005 clearence (which is TIGHT) any high RPM valve float and there is a possibility they will hit. I shaved my head on my girls car to .040 and that was when people did not know the limit. Plus the more you shave it the cam timing will be retarded. so if you want the MOST out of your engine you should get cam gears to. There is a good amount of retard with a .040 shave
