When I go online to find them, I see that there are mechanical ones and electrical ones (the latter usually being much more expensive).

What are the difference between the two?

mechanical requires you run a nitrous line to the gauge to determine pressure and the electrical uses a pressure sender somewhere inline on the nitrous line to send a signal to the gauge

mechanical is hooked by a little tube that goes from the gauge to a fitting(can leak fluid in your compartment)

Electrical ones are better(but more expensive) this utilizes an electrical sender that hookes up to your gauge(no tubing just wires, making it no leaks in your compartment)....

The bottle's in the back seat anyway, so if I have a leak, I'd know Razz

Go with a mechanical, so long as you install it properly you'll have little risk of leaks and will have saved a ton of money.

Are electrical N20 press gauges full sweep? I know most electrical gauges are only half-sweep or something like that. 90 degrees of motion instead of 270 degrees of motion, so they're harder to read. Mechanical > electrical.

Put a mechanical guage directly on the bottle if you want to do it cheaply. This would eliminate any leaking lines.

as long as you run an AN braided line to it, it should never leak

i personally would go with a full sweep electrical for the same reason as an electric oil pressure gauge: if it does leak you've got a situation on your hands. nitrous oxide leak + cigarette = bad, very bad.
