ok thanks.

ok so another question about the o2 sensor.. i belivve there is 2. on the odbII cars right? one after the exhaust and 1 some somwhere on the manifold.

so i take it you slap the n/b escort sensor on the manifold one. somewhere. and how do i nstall it? and make it heated... do i run a wire to a 12v source or?

To get an accurate reading, have another bung welded in your downpipe before the cat.

I did this, and even with the nbo2 it reads fairly accurate at low throttle. At WOT its pretty spot on as well.

Get a wet kit. Wink

i will probally run a 35 or a 25 like you until i get comfortable and figure out the whole air/fuel and blah blah stuff.. then bump it up to a 50 or 55.. and see how my car likes it and then maybe go to 75... but more liely iwill stick with a 35-50 shot. unless i get forged internals

the stock internals can handle quite a bit of juice provided your a/f and ignition is kept at a close watch, if you want to spray big shots, id keep your transmission ahead of the "to do" list Wink and i had 100 shot spray through the shifts on an auto, but it didn't take long to go ka boom

Well if you dont have it to the floor and youre spraying, your probably gonna blow stuff up anyways. Laughing But yeah the window is good.

If you run a low (small) shot, like less than 35, you dont need it.

Ive been running the 25 shot thru the shifts, and havent had a thing go wrong. The tranny is just fine. I tried stopping the spray-age thru the shifts, coming on and off the spray, and my whole car would jerk.

I *THINK* the main problem with spraying thru the shift, isnt spraying into the shift, but rather being on the spray when the car comes out of a shift and the converter is slipping. Then when it grabs and locks in gear, the extra power causes undo strain on the transmission, not to mention the extra strain on the torque converter when its slipping.

When I finnaly get around to installing the tach driver and digital window switch, I will set it up to spray INTO the shift, but have it set to spray at a higher rpm than the drop into the next gear:

Say the shift drops you off at 4600 RPM in the next gear... I will set it up to spray at around 4800~ RPM. Or whenever the torque converter locks up. I will however have a bypass switch so I can spray before that in first. So the only thing I will have to remember to do is hold that button until the revs are higher than 4800~ rpm pr whatever I end up setting the activation rpm for... Then I let go of the button and just keep my foot on the floor until Im done having fun Razz

with my set up i will have a regualr on off purge and arm switch
and a red push button on the top of my stereo deck pefect reach for me. to push and hold. while i spray. let go and such.. so ya your saying basically stop spraying.. let the shift get into it. then get back onto the nitours. after each gear. make sense.

and ya i plan to run a 35 shot first until i am used to the power and etc. and tuning and get to with a 52 or 62 shot afterwards.

well see how it goes.
